2014, however, has been an amazing year already! I feel so good about this year.
As most of you know, we became homeowners in January and have been working tirelessly on the house to make it OUR home. We have decided to call our home, "Our Little Fawn Home." Why you ask? Well, it's a long story. Kidding; Little Fawn is the street we live on :)
We are so excited to be in our own place and we have been so touched by how many helping hands we've received to help in our efforts. We started working on the house the night we closed and have been working ever since. RT's dad flew out just a couple of days after to help with whatever he could get his hands on. Friends showed up with dinner and sparkling cider to celebrate. Other friends showed up later to paint and do whatever was needed. We didn't even have to worry about buying boxes or driving behind stores because friends from the ward had enough for our needs. To say we feel so blessed and loved by those in our lives is an understatement. So really, if you had anything to do with creating this home with us, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are eternally grateful.
We are reaching the end and it feels so good! All we have left now is working on the backyard (which RT is soooo excited about), remodeling our master bath, and unpacking the guest room and office.
So many of you, near and far, have been so excited for us and have been cheering us on. Thank you! That has really given me the boost I needed to keep going in this remodel process. Hard and tiring does not begin to cover what this experience has been like! Lots of sweat, tears, and arguments but nonetheless, it is so rewarding!
Now it is time to see what we've done with the place!
I am first showing you the guest bathroom, which was actually finished last and I believe to be the most changed. Ready?????!!!!!

This is what it looked like before. Really yellow with wall paper and very little light. |

After we destroyed the place :) We originally didn't think we could remove that middle wall but I just kept hammering things :) |

RT decided he wanted the popcorn ceiling gone in the guest bathroom |

Can't really see here but this is after RT retextured the walls to be smoother |

We left the original shower tile because I want to leave little things in this home original. I want it to be fitting for the future but I also want to remember the past and history of this home. |
What do you think?! Do you love it as much as we do?! I'm a little jealous that our bathroom does not look like this yet! Next up will be the dining room :)
you guys did a fantastic job!
