Since the government is down, let's talk about Yosemite

A couple days ago, Yosemite turned 123! Because of the government shutdown, poor Yosemite and the lovers of that great place were unable to truly celebrate!

While my sister, Candace, was here in August, we also took her to Yosemite. We spent the day riding bikes and relaxing. It was a really great day.

Every time I think of Yosemite, I think of good times and good memories. I've only been a few times but those few times were filled with great people and great memories. I'm sorry you didn't get to celebrate in style, Yosemite. I love you and would never shut you down. Ever.

Also, I miss my nephews. Don't tell Roscoe, but I especially miss Nixon, the water baby.

I'm terrible at riding bikes. Naturally, I thought it was a good idea to take a picture AND ride a bike.....

In this photo, Nixon is running straight at me to give me a hug. See why I miss him so much?
Look at that face. I'M DEAD.
